NORFOLK JAZZ QUINTET – Melodic Jazz standards

SATURDAY 8th September 2018, 7.30pm,  with LICENSED BAR  

The Norfolk Jazz band has built its reputation playing swinging jazz standards and music that came from New Orleans, Chicago, the Great American Song Book and the West coast.

They are popular musicians on the local jazz scene who always play uplifting programmes. 

On many occasions they have been well received at Jazz at the Hub (the café/bar at Sheringham Little Theatre) and at St George’s theatre Café/Bar in Great Yarmouth, but at St Botolph church in Trunch The Norfolk Jazz Quintet played for the first time,  raising money for St. Botolph’s conservation and restoration projects.

Tim Densham (clarinet and saxophones),
Bill Brewer (trumpet and trombone),
Peter Gregory (guitar & banjo),
Liz Underdown (string bass)
Brian McAllister (drums).

The concert  was attended by about 75 people. Takings on the door were £657 before expenses.  Photos of the concert are here.
