THE PANTALOONS THEATRE
The COMEDY of ERRORS
by W. Shakespeare
Saturday 14 October 2023, 7.30pm, St. Botolph’s Church, TRUNCH
“Wholly charming.”
(The Times on The Pantaloons)
Cartoonish capers in Shakespeare’s funniest farce!
Two sets of shipwrecked twins – who lost their doubles years ago – unknowingly end up in the same place at the same time. Chaos ensues; but will the searching siblings find each other in the end?
Expect silly slapstick, abundant anachronisms and memorable music nestled amongst Shakespeare’s poignant poetry as the critically-acclaimed Pantaloons put their own inimitable spin on this classic comedy.
The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons are a vibrant and anarchic theatre company who bring a vital sense of “play” back to classical performance. The Pantaloons aim to recapture an aspect of Shakespeare’s comedies which the modern naturalistic theatre has lost: the riotous energy of the clown.
The performance will took place in St. Botolph’s Church in Trunch. With a licensed bar.
It’s good practice to wear face masks all the time, except when you are eating or drinking.
The number of places – limited. Pre-booking only. Tickets: £15 – adult, £7 – children.
Tickets were available by phone 01692 402 624 or cash only at The Crown at Trunch (Front Street, Trunch, North Walsham NR28 0AH).
