Director: Joerg Heide
Choral music by Purcell, Pachelbel, Mendelssohn, Elgar, Nystedt;

The German choir “Lindauer Vokalensemble” from Lindau in Bavaria , under the direction of Jörg Heide, will be on tour in Norfolk in August. We warmly welcome them to Trunch on August 18th. The choir comprises experienced music teachers and choral singers and aims to perform a new choral project once every six months.
Under the heading “Magnus Dominus”the 20 singers present a contrasting programme of a cappellachoral works and instrumental music from the baroque to the modern.
The choral music includes:
- Pachelbel: Magnificat
- Purcell: Nunc Dimittis
- Homilius: Lord’s Prayer
- Gluck: De Profundis
- Hauptmann: Meine Seel ist stille (My Soul is at rest)
- Mendelssohn: Nunc Dimitis (Herr, nun lässest du deinen Diener)
- Knut Nystedt: Missa brevis
- Elgar: O Salutaris
- Ted Ayre: O Quam Pulchra Racio …a new composition by recent music graduate, who has family in Trunch.
The programme was presented for the first time in June in Lindau, a beautiful and ancient town on the shores of Lake Constance . The local newspaper wrote: “The power of the mixed choir radiating though the entire church was matched only by the filigree treatment of its “solo” parts by the separate vocal groups. After so much music to relish, the final applause would not come to an end.”
