Kenneth, a highly gifted young pianist from Coltishall, has enjoyed great success in major European piano competitions and has broadcast in Australia. His programme includes:

Kenneth O’Neill’s career to date has taken him to London, Mumbai, Vienna, Athens, where he was semi-finalist in the 1st C.V Alkan-P.J.G Zimmerman International Piano Competition and Rome, where he received 3rd Prize in the XXIII “Roma” International Piano Competition. He has also featured on Australia ‘s ABC Radio network. A graduate of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, he is currently pursuing Masters studies under the tutelage of Douglas Finch.

Kenneth has had master classes with Leslie Howard and Idil Biret and has been invited to perform as soloist with the Foyle Future First musicians of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Bombay Chamber Orchestra and several of Trinity Laban’s orchestras, with conductors Patrick Bailey, Ksenia Zharko, Gregory Rose, Andrew Sherwood and Jonathan Tillbrook. Repertoire performed as soloist includes Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 1, Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5, Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 1, Mendelssohn Piano Concerto No. 2 and Mozart’s Piano Concerto in C minor K491. Venues performed in include London ‘s Southbank Centre, National Centre of Performing Arts Mumbai and the Ehrbar Saal.

Kenneth has a particular interest in the lesser known works of 19th century piano literature. Most notably in the compositions of French composer-pianist Charles-Valentin Alkan. Future engagements will be celebrating the works of this reclusive virtuoso.
